Profile:
Furniture designer with technical training.
Familiar with Solid Works drawing software.
Good knowledge of materials derived from wood, metals, glass, plastics, and composites.
Feeling for relationships and highly-developed commercial skills.
Dynamic, enthusiastic, responsive, independent, and organised.
A esthetic sense.
3 years' experience in furniture-manufacturing.
Knowledge of Polish would be an important asset.
Mission:
Single contact person for one or more retailers.
Acts as interface between clients and production tool, works jointly with the commercial department, the head of logistics, and the head of installation.
Works directly with the client to ensure the technical development of new designs. Where appropriate, draws up a schedule of specifications based on dimensional and technical surveys done on site (hand-drawn sketches).
Prepares estimates in conjunction with the production factory in Poland.
Ensures that prototypes go into production.
Draws up and manages technical files, production plans, and order placement.
Control of the operational budget linked with setting up workshops.
Present at acceptance of completed work and workshop meetings if necessary.
Manages after-sales service and resupply orders.
Seeks out variants, optimising use of the business's production tool.
Occasional travel.
